Ma’at is the Egyptian goddess and living principle of truth, justice, balance, reciprocity, and divine order. Daughter of Ra she embodies the harmony that sustains both the cosmos and civilization. Pharaohs were charged with upholding Ma’at, while the hearts of the dead were weighed against her feather before Osiris. Through Hermetic philosophy, she remains and enduring symbol of universal law, right relationship, and ethical living.
