Beltane Small Sticker, Venus and Pan
3” x 3” translucent vinyl sticker.
“For my Beltane candle image, I present the God and Goddess as Pan and Venus, joined in sacred union at the threshold of High Spring. Behind them, the Maypole rises as the living axis of the world, its ribbons woven in dance to draw the vitality of the Sun down into the Earth. Around them bloom hawthorn, rose, and wisteria—flowers of love, beauty, and wild enchantment—bearing witness to this rite of union.
Pan stands as the Horned God in his fullness: vital, fertile, and untamed, the pulse of life itself surging through root and limb. Venus, radiant and sovereign, embodies desire as a sacred force—the magnetic current that draws all things into relationship, pleasure, and creation. Their handfasting is generative: a marriage of instinct and devotion, body and spirit, passion and purpose.
At Beltane, I call upon these powers to awaken the senses, to bless the bonds we choose, and to kindle the fire of life within and between us. In their union, we remember that desire is holy, that pleasure is a pathway, and that the dance of creation is ever unfolding through us.” ~ Heron Michelle
